First Rattlers By jamie on November 17, 2013 We’ve been here for 5 months and hadn’t seen a rattlesnake yet. Frankly, I was a little disappointed. But today this guy and another four footer got to go to the big snake den in the sky.
Soapberry Swing By jamie on October 12, 2013 Abbey wanted a new swing in the yard. So, we used the chainsaw to trim up a piece of a fallen Indian Soapberry tree, drilled some holes, and added rope. Ranch fun.
Mowing is Fun By jamie on September 17, 2013 9 is that age when you think mowing is more fun than a chore… At least for a few weeks. So we decided to teach Grady to have the fun for a while.
Bunny Coming Soon By jamie on September 12, 2013 At the 4H orientation last night, Grady won the drawing for everything you need to raise a bunny from Tractor Supply. They announced his name on the radio and everything. So, I guess we’re getting bunnies.
Meet Ben By jamie on August 31, 2013 Ben’s a calf who’s momma can’t feed him. He came up to the house today looking like he was having a pretty tough time. Grady and Abbey are going to do their best to nurse him back to health. New experiences everyday ’round here.
A Little Adventure By jamie on August 12, 2013 A 24 hour area-wide power outage added to the adventure of friends coming to visit this weekend. But a good time was had by all, including these two little princesses on the prairie.
Our Little Animal Lover By jamie on August 5, 2013 Turns out, this little girl is quite the animal lover. With a horse and dog to love on, there’s no greater event in her day than when the horse comes up for water or the dog needs a treat. Love what we’re discovering about ourselves out here.
Barking Chicken By jamie on June 22, 2013 Winding through back roads in the hill county we ran across this jewel of a street sign. Looking forward to a weekend of family fun.
The Good Shepherds By jamie on June 20, 2013 There’s no better conversations about how God always comes after us than when you are out looking for one of Paw-Paw’s missing lambs. The kids were thrilled to find it. I’m thrilled that God never gives up on us.
Unless The Lord…Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain… It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives to his beloved sleep. – Psalm 127:1-2
